The actor, who started out in the music industry at the age of 16, and is now 23, has bagged herself a role with Irrfan Khan in her next, Bangkok Blues. The film also stars Ranvir Shorey and is a romantic thriller. Shaw feels that it is a genre that isn’t commonly seen. “It isn’t a message giving film. It’s a one liner on the complexity of modern relationships interwoven within a thriller,” says Shaw.

Being young, Shaw used her time with Khan and Shorey to learn all that she could. “I had two schools of acting around me — Irrfan and Ranvir. When you work with someone like Irrfan, you can graduate in acting by just observing him,” explains the young actor, adding, “I was a child when I did that music video and I got stereotyped at that time.
