Saddened by the recent blasts in her hometown, she talks about hanging out at German Bakery during her college days and how the world has become a scary and unsafe place.

The first thing Mugdha did when she heard about the blasts was to call family and friends in Pune and check if everyone was safe and fine. ‘I was really saddened when I saw what has become of my beloved place. My heart goes out to the youngsters and families of victims. It must be so shocking for people around,’ she says.

German Bakery was her hang-out during college days. ‘I stayed in MMCC College in the Deccan area, and we all used to travel to German Bakery because of its distinct ambience and unique, fun vibe. I have really fond memories of that place, as we used to spend hours over drinks and food,’ she recalls, adding, ‘I can’t pick a favourite because they had an amazing range of teas, snacks and cakes.’

Mugdha visited the café last year. ‘I was in Pune for an event, so all of us went there for coffee. It felt the same, like my college days,' she quipped.

Mugdha feels that the world has become a scary place. ‘We have to be thankful that we are alive. Earlier, there was the swine flu scare and now, the blast has happened,’ she sighs, adding, 'As soon as I wrap up my professional commitments, I plan to visit my family and friends there. I think it is important to spend as much time as possible with our loved ones and those who matter.'
