And you thought that the Indian beauties in transparent (& wet at the same time) saree looks very sexy. The brit beauty Elizabeth Hurley is going to give them a run for their money. In fact she has done something that no Indian actress would ever (probably) do. She wore a transparent saree, sans the mandatory blouse.
Though she is known for her revealing clothes, but after her marriage with Mr. Nayar, she is seen in the traditional Indian dress. In fact she was wearing a $700 pink saree in her wedding. She is also seen in Salwar-Kameez, another Indian traditional dress. But no one thought that she will use this dress in such a way. She might be thinking that, though I am 44, but I still have the élan to show the skin. But, let me tell you, if you leave this malfunction apart, then she was looking gorgeous in that saree.
Strangely, it is reported that the many Indian designers have supported this. The Daily mail wrote, “By contemporary Indian standards, [wearing a sari without a choli] is unthinkable. But it would seem, at the very least, Hurley has history on her side.”
“Choli was non-existent in India before the British arrived. In fact, it was Victorian ideas of modesty that led to its invention”. It adds.
